Lori Burkhardt was appointed as the Justice of the Peace for the Ironwood Justice Precinct on February 11, 2026 at the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors regular meeting.
Judge Burkhardt is a native of Arizona and third-generation resident of Gila Bend. She was hired to the Justice Courts in 1995, spent ten years as a clerk and the next 21 as the court manager, while doing double-duty as the court administrator for the town of Gila Bend Municipal Court.
She believes these experiences provided her a deep understanding of court operations, judicial processes, and the leadership required to serve with integrity and professionalism. She vows to ensure that all who appear in court are treated with dignity and respect.
