So You Want to Get Married at the Ballpark

Home to the Arizona Diamondbacks- imagine the lush green field and the magnificent baseball stadium in your wedding photos. What a memorable experience- a ceremony like no other in your family’s history!

Put February 15th, 2023 on your calendar.

This is the date of Maricopa County’s Inaugural Career Fair & Community Expo taking place at Chase Field in downtown Phoenix. This is also where Justices of the Peace will perform marriage ceremonies at no cost.

All slots for weddings in the noon hour are now filled. If you are registering after 8pm on Tuesday, February 14th your wedding will take place between 5 and 7 p.m. Judges will officiate ceremonies in groups of 15-20 couples at a time, in both English and Spanish.

Interested?

You will give us your names and contact information below. But first- a few things to know:

  • You must already have your marriage license and bring it with you to the event. Licenses are issued at the Clerk of the Court. Click here to apply for the license.
  • Admission to the Career Fair & Expo is free.
  • You may bring as many witnesses/family members as you would like.
  • Your wedding will take place between 5 and 7 p.m. The exact time will be provided after registration.
  • There are two designated areas on the concourse for weddings. The field will be your backdrop with all of your witnesses watching.
  • You will leave the event legally married. The judge will file the license with the Clerk of Court.
  • The D-backs’ mascot Baxter will be at the event, as well as the trophy from the 2001 World Series.
  • You may take any photos you want. There may be photos taken of you, including by news media. Your participation gives consent to be photographed without restriction.

The Justice Courts use Eventbrite to manage registrations for weddings at Chase Field. Eventbrite may require you to enter your name and email several times. Some browsers show a blue box with payment information; you may ignore that, as there is no cost for this event!
